Squeaker Forward
What are we doing after Squeaker Farms?™
30 day inpatient medical facilities are critically important emergency life saving services, however, the options for aftercare can be limited. Science has shown that the brain is able to regenerate itself and reroute neural pathways to the limbic system. Complete healing/rewiring/recovery may take up to 2 years, the first 90 days of change are statistically the most critical. Whether just healinga papercut or a deep emotional trauma, recovery takes time.
Our future plans will help our residents both before and after their stay at Squeaker Farms. For someone to begin to heal, basic needs must be met. Squeaker Farms™ provides the opportunity to reset and heal, but will also offer ongoing support and resources to help with ongoing growth and recovery after leaving the farm.
After Squeaker Farms™: In addition to caring for homeless animals, Squeaker Farms™ will also provide services to the public that are operated and even owned by our residents and alum. Founded by business minded folks, the Foundation will provide ongoing career and emotional guidance. As such, we will function as an incubator for residents looking to make a big change in their lives or even go in a completely new direction. Often we know change is necessary but need some extra support and help to take that leap of faith. Our foundation and community will provide that extra help and encouragement to make those necessary changes to find consistent peace and joy.
Before Squeaker Farms™: While we will work closely with Behavioral Health departments, we intend to open our own medical facilities focused on the first 30 days after the decision to do something about the anxiety, depression, and trauma that affects someone’s overall ability to exist full of joy and void of misery. Our approach is head on; focused on honesty, compassion, particularly with ones self.
